The Lottery

When researching the national lottery we were surprised at just how much money is given to good causes. We found the total from just one draw is such a huge quantity that we decided to work out the exact breakdown of the most recent draw and how the money was split up. We found this information extremely interesting and wanted to make it available in a visually exciting way. We looked at objects people associate with winning the lottery and settled on diamonds as the geometric shapes of cut stone lent themselves nicely to information graphics. The colours on the stones represent the quantities specified in the key.
